The performance of Washer Disinfectors needs to be monitored under the requirements of HTM 2030, and a simple rapid test capable of detecting 2mg protein/m2 is required. The SystemSURE II monitor detects a wide range or residues and detects the equivalent <0.2mg blood protein which is >100 times more sensitive than the ninhydrin test. The ATP test also gives a more rapid result than the ninhydrin test.
